Asexual reproduction :- In this type of reproduction only one parent is involved unlike sexual reproduction where 2 parents are involved and fusion of gametes take place.
There are different types of asexual reproduction :-
1. Budding : In this the mature part of the plant detaches from it and forms a new organism ( plant). Example - Hydra
2. Grafting : In this one part of the plant is cut off and attached to the part of other plant.
Example - Rose - If we cut the stem of rose and attach it to other then we can expect new flowers.
3. Regeneration ( This is not for class 7) : In this when a part of an organism gets cut then the new organism grows from the cut part.
Example - Planaria
