Good evening

What do you mean by conventional current? Why does the current travel from positive to negative as protons are heavy and remain fixed in their position so how does the current can travel from positive to negative?

Improper answer will be reported so think before answer

Answer:

onventional direction of current is taken as the direction of flow of positive charges.

Even thoguh positive charges (protons) are heavy and they can't move, electrons, namely valence electrons of atoms, get detached easily from the atoms .

They move from negative to positive as electrons are negatively charged.

Now, conventional direction of current is direction of flow of positive charge.

Logically, direction of flow of positive charge is opposite to the direction of flow of negative charge.

Thus, current conventionally travels from positive to negative.

Hope it helps!!!
