Step-by-step explanation:

In a right isosceles triangle, base = height = a

 Therefore, Area of a triangle = 1/2 x base x height

= 1/2 x a x a

= 1/2 a2

Further, given that area of isosceles right triangle = 200 cm2

In an isosceles right triangle, two sides are equal

(a) and the third side is the hypotenuse, i.e

There for c = √a²+a²

= √2a²

= a√2

= 20 x 1.41

= 28.2cm
