1) A mirror whose reflecting surface is a part of a hollow sphere of glass is called a spherical mirror.
2) A spherical mirror which has reflecting surface towards the center of the sphere of which mirror is a part is called concave mirror
3)A spherical mirror which has reflecting surface away from the center of the sphere of which mirror is a part is called convex mirror.
4)Following are some characteristics of image formed by plane mirror:-
- image is laterally inverted
- it is virtual and erect
- size of image is equal to size of object
- Distance of image is equal to distance of object
- Image can't be obtained on screen
