Culture medium:- It is also known as nutrient medium. It is the type of Medium, which provides nutrition to explants & which is required for normal growth and development of explants.

Some Special Points:-

➲ Standard culture medium contains inorganic Salt, Vitamin, Sucrose (as a source of energy and carbon),

growth regulators.

➲ Growth regulators are required for cell division and organogenesis in explant.

➲ Murashigice and Skoog's culture medium is the most commonly used culture medium.
