Definition of echo : The phenomenon due to which repetition of sound is heard after reflecting from a distant object, after the original source from a given source dies off is called an echo.

Condition necessary for echo:

1) The minimum distance between the source of sounds and the reflecting body should be 17m.

2) The height of reflecting body should not be less than the wavelength of sound.

3) The intensity of sound should be sufficient.
