Good morning guys.... what is the basic concept of chapter light - reflection and refraction

Light behaves as matter as well as waves. When we talk about the phenomena of 'reflection' and 'refraction' then this falls under the branch of RAY OPTICS and WAVE OPTICS which takes into the account of light behaving as a 'particle' and 'wave'.

Reflection is just a turning back of light beams when it is incident on any surface.

However, Refraction is a phenomenon where light passes through any transparent medium with it's velocity being little decreased.

It is the reflection process due to which we see the things and enjoy the beauty of nature.

And it is the Refraction process due to which we see the apparent position of Stars.
