*why the area of triangle is half ×base ×height ?

→→ \:  Area  \:  \: of  \:  \: triangle =  \frac{1}{2}  \times bh \\  \\

  • A triangle is always a half part of a rectangle. And area of rectangle is the product of its length & width.
  • Only when rectangle is cut diagonally it is divided into two parts being triangle & rectangle's width becomes the height of triangle and the breadth becomes base.
  • So, Area of triangle will be the half of area of rectangle i.e (1/2×b×h).
