Good morning mates!!! Happy dasara everyone!!


A farmer had 700 geese and ducks all together.He sold 1/3 of his geese and bought another 20 ducks.After that the number of ducks he had was 1/6th of the number of geese.How many more geese than ducks were there at first.

no. of geese and duck=700

or,g+d=700

g=700-d

ATQ,

d+20=(2g/3)(1/6)

d+20=g/9

9d+180=g

9d+180=700-d

10d+180=700

d=700-180/10

d=52

therefore g=700-d

=700-52

=648

finally,(648-52)596more greese than duck
