Mrs Kaushik has a square plot with the measurement as shown in the figure she wants to construct a house in the middle of the plot a garden is developed around the house find the total cost of developing a garden around the house at the rate of rupees 55 per metre square ​

Area of square having side 25 = 25×25 =625

area of rectangle on which house to be constructed = 20×15=300

area on which garden be plotted = 625 - 300 =

=325

so, cost of plotting the garden= 55× 325 =17875

so it's a square plot ...let us find the area of square.

area of the square=(side)^2

so area of the plot will be =(25)^2

area of plot is 625 Sq. m

now area of the house will be= length × breadth

so area of house =20 × 15=300 Sq. m

now area of garden will be = area of plot - area of house

area of garden = 625 - 300 = 325 Sq. m

now rate is 55 per m

so total cost = 325 × 55 =17875

so total cost will be Rs.17875
