Weak acid:- An acid which dissociates only partially producing low concentration of [H+] or [H3O+] ions in aqueous solutions are known as weak acid. Acetic acid, carbonic acid, citric acid, formic acid are the some examples of weak acid.

Uses of acid are as follows:-

1. Boric acid which is very useful in eye wash.

2. Acetic acid or citric acid in food preservation.

3. Acids like acetic acid , vinegar in cooking.

4. Carbonic acid in flavouring drinks.

5. Oxalic acids helps in removal of ink stain.

6. In pickling of metals HCl acid is helpful.

7. HCl acid kills bacteria and it also activates enzymes in digestion as well.

1) A weak acid is an acid that doesn't produce many hydrogen ions when in aqueous solution. Weak acids have relatively low pH values and are used to neutralize strong bases. Examples of weak acids include: acetic acid (vinegar), lactic acid, citric acid, and phosphoric acid.

2)Other uses of acids include: benzoic acid(salt used to preserve food), carbonic acid(used to make carbonated drinks), ethanoic acid(used to clean metals before electroplating/processing leather/household cleaning/ maintenance of swimming pools), nitric acid(used in the production of fertilizers, explosives, dissolution
