it is a process which starts at puberty. this occurs once in about 28 to 30 days. the inner lining of the uterine prepares itself to receive the developing fertilised egg. in case there is no fertilisation then then the thickened lining of the uterine wall shed off and flow along with the blood. this is called menstruation. it is also known as menstrual cycle.
