Answer:

Explanation:

Standard deviation is a measure of dispersion. It tells about the spread of a data set.

It can be described as root mean squared deviation, signifying the way it is calculated.

Step-by-step method for calculating standard deviation

(1) Find out the mean of the data set

(2) Subtract this mean from each data point to find out deviation from mean. It could be either positive or negative.

(3) Square up these deviations to find out squared deviation. Naturally, squared deviations will be all positive.

(4) Find out mean of squared deviations. This is called variance.

(5) Find out square root of variance. That's standard deviation.

Relative standard deviation is also called percentage relative standard deviation formula, is the deviation measurement that tells us how the different numbers in a particular data set are scattered around the mean.

This formula shows the spread of data in percentage.

Difference

We write average as 10±2. The 2 here is the standard deviation. If you want to write it as relative standard deviation, then it will be 10±20% because 2 is 20% of 10, the average.

a quantity expressing by how much the members of a group differ from the mean value for the group.♥️

In probability theory and statistics, the coefficient of variation, also known as relative standard deviation, is a standardized measure of dispersion of a probability distribution or frequency distribution. It is often expressed as a percentage, and is defined as the ratio of the standard deviation to the mean.♥️
