The total number of fish in the tank = 5 + 8 = 13

Total number of male fish = 5

P(E) = (Number of favourable outcomes/ Total number of outcomes

P (male fish) = 5/13 = 0.38

Answer:

The total number of fish in the shop = 13

So the total number of possible outcomes = 13

Let A be the event that the the Fish IS MALE

Then the number of possible outcomes for the event A is = 5

So the required probability is =P(A) =5/13
