Solution:

Salary  = 300 S

Spend on tax =  (25/100)300S  =75S

Spent on grocery = (1/3)300S  = 100S

Remaining =  300S -  100S - 75S  =  125S

125S  = 2500

=> S = 20

Salary = 300 * 20  = Rs 6000

Spend on tax =  75S = 75 * 20  = Rs 1500

Let his salary is x
