Let CP for Gopi was 100.
100 ==12% up ==> 112 (Ibrahim) ==5% up ==> 117.6 (John).
Comparing,
117.6 = 1330
1 = 1330/117.6
100 = (1330 * 100)/117.6 = 1130 (Approx.).

Answer:

1400

Step-by-step explanation:

let gopi sold watch at 'X' rupees to ibrahim

ibrahim sold at a loss of 5% to john

⇒X-X×5/100= X×95/100

and john bought it at 1330

X×95/100 = 1330 ⇒ X = 1400

∴gopi sold it for rs.1400
