yes, of course they should not interfere in the religious affairs of people because
1. In democracy secularism is practised and it means that no discrimination on the basis of religion.
2.when one community or religion is supported, people might mistake the government and disputes arises at that movement between the people and government.
3.These disputes leads to a civil war in the country like it took place in Sri Lanka
