Answer:

Water storing capacity of 15 tanks of radius 7m and height 10m is 23100000L or 2.31 × 10⁷L

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given,

Tanks are cylindrical in shape,

r = 7m

h = 10m

Now, we must find the storage capacity of 15 such tanks in litres.

We know that,

Storage capacity is nothing but the volume of the tank in which water can be stored

Thus,

Volume of Cylinder = πr²h

Here,

r = 7m

h = 10m

Using π = (22/7)

Volume of 1 tank = π × 7² × 10

= (22/7) × 7 × 7 × 10

= 22 × 7 × 10

= 154 × 10

= 1540m³

Thus,

The storage capacity of 1 tank = 1540m³

But we need to find the storage capacity of 15 such tanks

Thus,

Storage capacity of 15 tanks = 1540 × 15 = 23100m³

But we need to find it in litres,

We know that,

1m³ = 1000 litres

Hence,

23100m³ = 23100 × 1000

= 23100000L

Since, it is a large number, for simplicity sake, we can write it in exponential form.

23100000L = 2.31 × 10⁷ L

Hence,

Water storing capacity of 15 tanks of radius 7m and height 10m is 23100000L or 2.31 × 10⁷L.

Hope it helped and believing you understood it........All the best
