By using formula surface area of cuboid=2(lb+bh+hl) we calculate length=8 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Given,

surface area of a cuboid =158 cm^{2}

height(h)=5cm, breadth(b)=3cm, length(l)=?

formula: surface area of cuboid=2(lb+bh+hl)

Step 2:

surface area of cuboid=2(lb+bh+hl)

158=2(3l + 5×3 + 5l)

158= 2(8l+15)

8l+15=79

8l=64

l=8

therefore length=8 cm.
