1.suppose her salary is= x

>she spent 2/11 of her salary

so dress price is =2x/11

and she left $1008 with her

than-as per question:

 \frac{2x}{11}  + 1008 = x

x = 1232

so that we know her salary(x)=$1232

after bought her rest salary was $1008

so we know from it the discounted price of dress was =1232-1008=$224

2.suppose the dress original price was =p

its 20% discounted price was $224

so as per question

224 +  \frac{20p}{100}  = p

p(dress \: selling \: price) =280

so that dress original price was=$280

it may help you dear.
