✴Graphite is soft and slippery because its carbon atoms are bound together by weak bonds known as VanderWaal forces.
THANKS ✌☺

In graphite, each carbon atom is joined to three others, forming layers: The bonds between the Layers(vander wall attractions) are much weaker than covalent bonds. This enables the layer to slide across each other, making graphite soft and slippery.
