Graphite and diamond both are allotropes of carbon. But out of these two only graphite conducts electricity but diamond do not. Explain why ?

Graphite conduct's electricity because of the delokalised (free) electrons

Explanation:

But diamond does not have delocalised electrons so the diamond does not conduct electricity
