BECAUSE GRAPHITE HAVE GAPS BETWEEN THEIR ATOM AND DIAMOND DOESN'T.

Graphite and diamonds are both non metals and non metals don't conduct electricity but graphite is an exception.
Both of them are forms of carbon.
graphite. being a crystalline form conducts electricity. .while diamond being a solid form doesn't.
