Producer= Grass
Grass=100 J
For snake 100×1÷10= 10 J
For peacock 10×1÷10=1 J
Therefore here we should use 10% law or 10 percent law. And energy transferred for peacock is 1 Joule

Ten Percent law of food chain

Explanation:

  • 10% law expresses that solitary 10% of the vitality is moved from a lower trophic level to a higher one. This means that only 10% of the stored energy from producers is transferred to herbivores. The remaining 90 % of this energy is used by plants for various processes such as respiration, growth, and reproduction.Also, just 10% of the vitality of herbivores is moved to carnivores
  • As indicated by the 10% law, just 10% of vitality is moved starting with one trophic level then onto the next trophic level. 100J of vitality is accessible at the maker level. At that point at the primary purchaser level for example herbivore level here grasshopper, the vitality will be 10% of 100J = 10J. At the subsequent purchaser level, here snake, the vitality will be 10% off 10J = 1J. At the tertiary buyer level here peacock, the vitality will be 10% off 1J = 0.1J.
  • Hence, the right answer is 0.1J  energy transferred to peacock as food
