Purandor's treaty was signed in 11th June,1665 .

After Jai Singh beseiged Purandor fort ,Shivaji was bound to sign the agreement.

Shivaji then realised that the war with mughal emperor had no positive effect .

They would cause only harm to the Empire.

He knew his countrymen would suffer heavy loss.

So he made a treaty other than leaving them under Mughal.
