Gravitational force acts on all objects in proportion to their masses. Why then, a heavy object does not fall faster than a light object?

even the the force is is proportional to mass the acceleration is not dependent on mass because f = ma and when this f is gravitational force the factor m will be cancelled both sides

All objects fall on ground with constant acceleration, called acceleration due to gravity (but condition is there are no air resistance!!).
This acceleration is a constant acceleration and does not depend upon the mass of an object. Hence, heavy objects do not fall faster than light objects.
