Gravitational pull of the sun keeps the Earth in a stable orbit around the Sun. What keeps electron in a stable orbit around the Nucleus?

According to the laws of thermodynamics anything revolving has to somehow lose energy and fall into the nucleus.But in an atom the electrons do not fall because as the electrons revolves there is another force acting know as the centrifugal force which pulls it away from the nucleus.these two forces counterbalance and hence the electrons remains stable neither falling into the nucleus or wandering off away from the nucleus
