Gravity is a fundamental force of physics. The planets of our solar system, which
vary in size and mass, have different gravity. Find the value of gravity on other
planets in terms of g units (gravity) of Earth. Also find your own weight on each
planet. Kindly refer to the procedure below
TO CALCULATE THE VALUE OF GRAVITY
To calculate the value of g(gravity), put the values of G, M and R in the formula:
g=GM/R2
G= universal gravitational constant (G = 6.7×10–11 N m2
kg-2), M=mass of the planet,
R=radius of the planet.
TO CALCULATE WEIGHT
To calculate the value of W(weight), put the values of m and g in the formula: W=mg
m=mass of the person
g=value of gravity on planet
