Grayson charges $35 per hour plus a $35 administration fee for tax preparation.

Lan charges $45 per hour plus a $15 administration fee.

To find:  number of hours does Grayson charge more than Lan

According to the question,

35 + 35h   15 + 45h

35h - 45h   15 - 35

35h + 35 = 45h + 15;

Therefore, h = 2 hrs.

Answer:

Given :

     If h represents the number of hours for tax preparation.

Grayson = 35h + 35

Lan        = 45h + 15

To find : Number of hours does Grayson charges more than Lan.

By equating,

⇒ 35h + 35 = 45h + 15

⇒ 45h - 35h = 35 - 15

⇒ 10h = 20

∴ h = 2 hours.
