Greed is a grave sin. Greedy people do not deserve the comforts of human life. The poem is about a selfish woman. She is asked for some food by Saint Peter as he was in dire need of food. But her greed did not allow her to share even the smallest piece of the cake. Thus earning Saint Peter's wrath. Finally he cursed the woman . Therefore, it is appropriate to say that greed is a quality that God doesn't like.
