Step-by-step explanation:

let the ratio of mixing blue yellow and white be 2x, 7x & x

=. A.T.Q

=2x+7x+x=64

10x=64

x=64/10

x=6.4 litre

then blue paints needed to mix in green paints = 6.4×2= 12.8 litre Ans

Given:

The green paint is made by mixing blue, yellow, and white paint.

The ratio of blue: yellow: white paint = 2 : 7 : 1

To Find:

The amount of blue paint needed to make 64 L of green paint.

Solution:

Let y be the common ratio multiplier for the given ratio.

⇒ Amount of Blue paint required = 2y L

⇒Amount of Yellow paint required = 7y L

⇒Amount of White paint required = y L

The sum of volumes of all these paints should equal the volume of green paint.

⇒ 2y + 7y + y = 64

or 10 y = 64

or y = 6.4L

The amount of Blue paint required = 2y L

= 2 X 6.4 L

= 12.8 L

Hence, 12.8L of blue paint is needed to make 64 L of green paint.
