Humans are Heterotrophs. We cannot use inorganic material to make food because we dont have chlorophyll which means we cannot perform the process of photosynthesis.
we are depended on autotrophs for food.
The food human cook is obtained from plants only.

humans just cook their food as the products of making the food have been already provided to them.humans don't have to collect each and every ingredient of making the products of their food.
in the other hand plants collect their own ingredients and produce their own food by their own and dose'nt depend on other organisms for their food to be provided,but humans do depend on other organisms for their food.
