The Green Revolution stands for a set of research and development techniques that include initiatives for technology transfer which increased the global agricultural production.

if there was no green revolution, the yields of agricultural products like pulses, cereals, etc. would not have improved. There would have been more instances of famine, which would have led to malnutrition in many countries.

White revolution in India refers to increase in milk production and to provide and encourage the farmers to increase milk production by growing more farm animals. Dr. Verghese Kurien is known as the Father of White Revolution in India. These efforts by Dr. Kurien started at the Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers Union which is situated in Anand, Gujarat. This organization later became the famous dairy product brand - Amul.

If there was no White revolution, it would have led to a depletion of milk and milk products in the country. Also, the farming of animals for the production of milk would not have improved leading to wastage of natural resources.
