Given : Green sea turtles have normally distributed weights, measured in kilograms, with a mean of 134.5  and a variance of 49.0

To Find : A particular green sea turtle's weight has a z-score of -2.4

What is the  weight of this green sea turtle

Solution:

Z score = (Value - Mean) /SD

Mean = 134.5

SD = √Variance

=> SD = √49

=> SD = 7

z = -2.4

=> -2.4  = ( Value -  134.5)/7

=> -16.8  = Value - 134.5

=> Value  = 134.5 - 16.8

=> Value  = 117.7

=> Value = 118

weight of this green sea turtle Round to the nearesi whole number =  118 kg
