An elemental compound, CARBON DIOXIDE exists in nature in a mixtured form.A compound that can be easily extracted from the atmosphere, it is required in everybasal, rather elemental chemical reaction. Consider for example the production offood in plants i.e. the process of photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is one of the most important reactions for sustenance of life on earth. Photosynthesis has to products, glucose and oxygen.

Both of these products are essential for life processes of all organisms on earth.Oxygen is required by terrestrial life forms for respiration where as glucose is a building block for any food group found in nature, including those animals that derivefood from other organisms.

CARBON DIOXIDE is extremely important reactant or ingredient in the productionof glucose and oxygen. Hence by this logic it would be better to have a greateramount of it in the atmosphere. But due to increase in population levels and thus anincrease in deforestation, plants have not been able to absorb these increased levels of it. This has led to a number of evils.

This gas has been in the highlights of every major news story of the past two decade. The green house effect is major cause for concern, since CARBON DIOXIDE like many other green house gases traps sunlight in the earth's atmosphere. This in turnincreases surface temperature leading to melting of the solar caps in the short term. There is an increase ocean levels which leads to changing tidal patterns as well aswarming of the ocean. Marine life sustenance is dependent on ocean temperatures and due to this uncharacteristic increase water levels and ocean temperatures there hasbeen a constant decline in marine life quality.

CO2 is required in a number of industrial processes too. Infact every reactioninvariably utilizes CO2 as an initiator, reactant of product. Despite this industry has been negligent in its utilization and disposal of this waste. This is where Carbondioxide detectors and toxic gases detectors come into play. In any chemical industry there are a number of hazardous chemicals being used. This leads to the risk ofnegligence or mishandling by workers. Toxic gases and carbon dioxide detector are fairly easy to deploy and hardly are some sophisticated pieces of hardware makingit cost efficient. These kinds of devices are also extensively used in households and office environments which is required in today's day and age.

Analox are a technology company specialising in the manufacture of carbon dioxide sensors, gas detectors and carbon monoxide alarm Gases monitored include: carbon dioxide, oxygen, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons.

Green house effect is need for life on earth. The green house gases traps the heat at night and prevent earth from freezing. But increase in Thier concentration can cause more heat to trap and increase the temperature of the earth.

Hope this helps..
