Greenhouse effect takes place when the atmosphere of the earth traps sun rays. The

process makes earth warmer. During this process, the earth radiates it mostly in the

infrared region. These infrared radiations cannot pass through the lower temperature, they

get reflected back by gas molecules. Low lying clouds also reflect them back to earth. These

radiations heat up the object on the earth’s surface and keep it warm.

i)Gas molecules absorbing thermal infrared radiations and present in large quantity to

change the climate system is known as

a)Ozone gas

b)Beta radiations

c)Alpha radiations

d)Greenhouse gases

ii)Which of the following is not considered as naturally occurring greenhouse gas
a)CFCs

b)Methane

c)Carbon-di-oxide
