Greta had $15. She went to the book store and bought some supplies for her summer school. She bought two pencils that cost p dollars each. The pen she bought cost five times as much a pencil. The notebook cost her $9 more than the pencil. She then had $4 left.
a) Using p to represent the amount he spent on a pencil at the bookstore, write an expression in terms of p for,

iii) The amount of the notebook (1)

b) Form an equation in terms of p for the total amount of money spent. (1)

c) Solve the equations formed in (b) to determine the amount of money spent on the notebook.
