Answer- The above question is from the chapter 'Footprints Without Feet' written by H.G. Wells.

Given question: Griffin was a lawless person because ________ .

Answer: Griffin was a lawless person because inspite of being a brilliant scientist, he didn't make use of his intelligence and set the house of his landlord on fire, just because the landlord disliked him and wanted to get rid of him. And thus, to avenge this disliking, he set his house on fire and left that place. He always misused his powers and scientific ideas by hurting others.
