Griffin as a scientist was genius with en irritable temper though. His brilliance came into limelight when he made a remarkable discovery by inventing the wondrous drug that enabled him to become invisible. Griffin was a short tempered scientist who sets fire to the house of his landlord in a fit of anger. The way he stole clothes from the London store and then robbed the shopkeeper show him to be an amoral person if not immoral. In fact, he misused his discovery to satisfy his whims.
