Definition :

Cells are the smallest form of life; the functional and structural units of all living things. The diagram shows the structures visible within a cell at high magnification. The structures form the ultrastructure of the cell.

functions :

Cells provide six main functions. They provide structure and support, facilitate growth through mitosis, allow passive and active transport, produce energy, create metabolic reactions and aid in reproduction.

Experiment :

Place a drop of water on a slide and place the onion tissue in the water. Add another drop of water and a drop of iodine over the onion and cover with a glass slip. The salt causes the protoplasm in the cell to shrink in a process called plasmolysis, creating clear differences in the slides.

hope it helps you mate.
