GROUP DISCUSSION
In our daily life, we often deal with the idea of oppositeness. We explain the concept of oppositeness by taking some examples.

1. Drive 5 km north is (+5) → Drive 5 km south is (-5)

2. Going up 6th floor is (+6) → Going down 6th floor is (-6)

3. Profit of 10,000 is (+ 10,000) → Loss of 10,000 is (- 10,000)

Now, divide the class into small groups and give th
following questions to answer their opposites:
(a) Temperature 5° above normal.
(6) 15 steps left.
(c) 24 metres in east direction.
(d) Withdrawal of 8,180 from an account.
(e) 19 years ago
(f) Reduction of 5 in the price.
(g) 13 km above sea level.
