Answer: Growth happens at some specific regions only because there only certain regions which need energy to grow at a particular time.

At the growing age , we become tall our hands become longer than earlier as cell division is occurring . This growth happens due to hormone named growth hormone. But our eyes don't become much big. Its all about adaptation.
