The alpha particle is a helium nucleus; it consists of twoprotons and two neutrons. It contains no electrons to balance the two positively chargedprotons. Alpha particles are therefore positively charged particles moving at high speeds. Beta particles are emitted byneutron rich unstable nuclei

Shaina11: can u explain about radioactivity ?

radioactive decay occurs in unstable atomic nuclei_that is ones that don't have enough binding energy to hold the nucleus together due to an excess of either protons or neutrons.
it comes in three main types named alpha beta and gamma for the first three letter of greek alphabet.
