arjunb963: • The new Cartesian sign convention

• Object is always placed to the left of the mirror.
• Both image distance and object distance are measured from focus.
•All distances to the left of the mirror is taken as negative and all distances to the right of the mirror are taken as positive.
• All distances perpendicular to and above the principal axis are taken as positive.
• All distances perpendicular to and below the principal axis are taken as negative.
