Diversity represents all categories of plants and animals, or all other forms of organisms or living beings found in an area or as a whole. It represents the plant communities as well as the animal communities. It also represents being diverse i.e. different from one another in a number of ways.
At home, we can find a number of small plants in the garden which is a good example of diversity around us. We can also find small organisms hidden under ground.
Once we go to school, we can find diversity in terms of caste, color and religion of students who come from from different backgrounds, and yet are a part of the same class.
In our neighborhood also, we come across people who are rich, or poor, and who are differentiated from each other on the basis of their nationalities, physical or mental abilities or disabilities and many other forms.
