guard cells were the small bean-shaped pores which helps in closing and opening of stomata and were responsible for the gaseous exchange in plants and transpiration. chloroplast we green colored pigment responsible for trapping solar energy inside chlorophyll. it is present in the lower epidermis of the leaf.
