Though this statement is true, there are some chapters which are completely new and does not require a person to know class 11 mathematics.

If a person knows mathematics of class 9 & class 10, he can easily understand class 11&12 maths. Therefore, the maths of class 9 and 10 forms the base of classes 11 and 12. However, you have to study class 11 maths to understand class 12 maths.

Yes,class 11 is for making the base of class 12 stronger.Having a strong base in Mathematics is always important.It does not depend on the class.

But still,class 11 is very vital for class 12th Mathematics.
