Guddu bought 8 kg apples for ₹484. What did the shopkeeper charge for 4 kg of apples?​

First let's find the charge for 1 kg of apples.

Total amount paid = ₹ 484

Number of kgs of apples bought = 8 kg

∴ Amount charged per kg of apples =  \frac{Total . Amount  .  Charged}{Total . kgs.  of . apples}

 

                                                            =  \frac{484}{8}

 

                                                            =  ₹60.5

∴ Charge for 4 kgs of apple = 4 × 60.5

                                              =  ₹ 242
