Reasons due to which parallel connection is used in houses :-

• If series connection is used then fault at one end will result at all the ends. This means if there is a failure at one point of the house, then all the points will loose electricity. Also, other than failure, if you switch any device from one end, the power will be removed in other devices as well. So, to prevent this, parallel connections are used in houses so that every device gets a variable amount of electricity and failure at one end does not affect the other.
