The temperature of ice does not increase because, for any substance until and unless it totally melts it absorbs the temperature from its surroundings which helps it in melting, thus, it does not show any change in temperature and it is also same for the ice. And at 0° C we can see the ice and water along with each other because, the liquid water have 80 calorie extra heat than that of the ice.
